We’re putting together an awesome weekend of activities for dancers at every level – including dedicated Newcomer Track activities. You’ll enjoy a weekend filled with workshops, optional intensives, WSDC competitions, newcomer programs, multi-room social dancing and more. In addition to the many workshops that are included in your event pass, we are once again offering a limited number of “Add-On Sessions”. These intensives provide opportunities for focused coaching on a specific topic/technique/skill set from some phenomenal instructors for nominal add-on costs.
Charlotte WestieFest 2024
WCS Legends Patty Vo & John Festa will cover concepts and material focused on footwork & styling in dancing to Blues music. We will also have a Blues & Fusion Room and Latin Room, and with those, there will be something special offered again this year. It’s important to note that the festival is a rain or shine event, and umbrellas are not allowed. Starting Friday, thunderstorms chances increase again as a front approaches from the west. That front would linger in some form through the weekend, perhaps prompting scattered showers and thunderstorms late Friday through Sunday. We are excited to have the amazing Champion Nicole Zwerlein start us off with a pre-dance lesson.

Set for May 3-5 at uptown Charlotte’s First Ward Park, more than 40 artists of all genres and generations will take the stage. (WBTV) - The Lovin’ Life Music Fest is just days away from its inaugural run in the Queen City, and final preparations are happening fast. Information for these activities will be updated as we finalize plans for 2024. In addition, announcements will be made on our Charlotte WestieFest 2024 Facebook Event Page.
All weekend pass tickets and contest entries are fully transferable and can be carried forward to future years if you are unable to attend. Under certain circumstances, weekend passes and other items are refundable. Please use the "Contact Us" link on the Trilogy Swing website if you have questions about this policy. Throughout the week, WBTV will provide the latest traffic updates, including road closures, alternate routes and other details. Lovin’ Life Music Fest has a clear bag policy to provide everyone with a safer festival experience, as well as to decrease the time it takes to get into the show. Please take note of the following, prior to making your way to the fest.

A First Alert is up now for Saturday, as it could wind up being the most active day. That’s not locked in, so don’t cancel your outdoor plans yet, but pay attention to the forecast this week for updates. There are general admission tickets for both the one and three-day options, as well as VIP and Super VIP tickets, which come with extra perks. As of Monday morning, tickets of all options are still available except for the three-day General Admission+ package.
And, for added variety, there will also be workshops in Fusion and Latin dancing offered as part of those complementary dance room activities. Performance schedules have already been set for each of the three days, with music on Friday to begin at 1 p.m. On the Northwood Ravin stage with the group Artikal Sound System. Other notable artists on the first day include The Chainsmokers and Post Malone.

The Review Sessions are on Sunday, and offer an opportunity for informal interaction with some of the Staff who judged the various contests over the weekend. We continue to be committed to creating an event environment based on treating people equitably with dignity, respect and courtesy. As such, we strive to ensure the safety and well-being of every attendee through a shared responsibility with every member of our dance community. Several ticket options are available for the festival, with packages ranging from single-day admission to three-day passes. Charlotte WestieFest has worked hard to create an inclusive dance event that has always welcomed people from diverse and varied backgrounds … with respect to demographics as well as types of dance. Officials said road closures began Monday morning, and all festival-related closures will happen by Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Consistent with our commitment to “growing everyone’s dance”, we will once again offer a series of Newcomer Welcome Activities. She dearly loves the dance and firmly believes anyone of any age, background or experience can excel at and enjoy WCS!!! Nicole has dedicated a lot of her time to coaching and private instruction, in addition to traveling the WCS event/competition circuit where she competes at the Champion level.
• Two Sessions of “10-for-$10’s” – sign-up for a “quick tune-up” with many of our staff. These sessions will be scheduled throughout the weekend – see the schedule for specific times. Sign-Up for these Sessions will be done On-Site in conjunction with announcing which Staff will be participating in each Session.
